Digital Life Skills
Richmond Autism Connection is proud to offer this brand new class utilizing an award-winning Digital Literacy and Life Skills Curriculum that is increasing the inclusion of people with disabilities into the workforce and social fabrics of society.

This five-month course will meet every Wednesday for two hours to teach marketable skills through digital and social media. The interactive lessons will include a pre-assessment, animated lessons using task analysis, guided activities in simulated environments, virtual rewards and badges, analytics for progress monitoring and reporting, and supplemental materials to make learning social.

Participants will start with basic information covering public vs. private information, online safety and behavior, and setting up accounts and using apps. From there, lessons will focus on utilizing email, calendars, maps, and cloud documents. Social media, troubleshooting design, and file types are next before moving onto resume building, industry software and more!
