Richmond Autism Connection is pleased to announce an exciting week long summer internship. The program will take place in July.

Participants will work from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Following work, we will meet until 4:00 pm to discuss successes and challenges at work during the day. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop their resumes, interview skills, and critical social, independent living, and vocational skills necessary to thrive as an adult on the spectrum.

Prior to the internship, Richmond Autism Connection staff will provide trainings to participating businesses that will focus on characteristics of autism and the supports necessary for people on the spectrum to be successful at work.

While the interns are at work, Richmond Autism Connection staff will always be on hand to check-in and ensure success.

Interns will be chosen by Richmond Autism Connection based on their established independent living skills, communication skills, independent grooming and hygiene skills, as well as transportation.

Internships will be assigned based on the participant's strengths, interests, and availability.

Space is limited so contact us today to reserve your spot!
